Little London Kitchen, the Birmingham double decker bus specializing in British comfort food and international cuisine, is expanding operations into a brick and mortar location. Friday, the owners of the Birmingham-based mobile dining experience announced on social media that they will be opening a pub in Homewood called The Little London:
“A note from Bea: You May have noticed we’ve been a little quieter than usual. Here’s why...3 years ago today Matthew and I moved into our new Birmingham home together.6 months ago we opened our food truck Little London Kitchen. And today, thanks to the amazing help and support from our new landlords Mark Woods and Cindy Wade, we are announcing that we will be opening a pub in Homewood. The Little London!!”
Owned by Bea and Matthew Morrissette, the mobile British dining experience has developed a huge following since it opened last June. The concept serves classic British comfort food such as meat pies and fish and chips from a trailer connected to a double decker bus called The Duchess. The Morrissettes converted the interior of the bus into themed dining rooms, decorated with Union Jack banquettes, flags, and table covers.
In addition to serving lunch around Birmingham, Little London Kitchen also teamed up with city breweries and tap rooms for beer flights and pairings.
