The Indianapolis Fire Department responded to a fire at Kountry Kitchen Soul Food Place on the near northside early Saturday morning.
IFD was dispatched around midnight and arrived at 1831 N. College Ave. at 12:07 a.m. The fire was under control around 1:30 a.m.
There were no injuries. Employee Tony Davidson told IFD that the last employee had left the building around 9:30 p.m. Friday.
The fire is still under investigation and it's unclear how much damage the building sustained.
Kountry Kitchen Soul Food Place, which serves southern favorites such as fried chicken and lemonade, has been operating in that location for 32 years according to IFD.
