STAMFORD — A 32-year-old Stamford man was arrested after cutting a woman with a kitchen knife, police said.
Yaime Oswaldo Villa-Aguilar, 32, of Pacific Street, allegedly showed up uninvited to the South End home of a woman at about 3:20 a.m. on Jan. 1.
The woman asked Villa-Aguilar to leave, police said, but he refused and entered her home.
Villa-Aguilar then allegedly cut the woman with a kitchen knife.
Police were able to find Villa-Aguilar after the incident and arrested him.
He was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree burglary, carrying a dangerous weapon and risk of injury to a child. The last charge was because a child was inside the woman’s home during the altercation, police said.
Villa-Aguilar’s bond was set at $25,000.
